The UKAP (Uzaktan Kumandali Atis Platform) was developed as a universal nmanned platform for variety missions, from combat fire support for infantry assault units to logistics, delivering ammunition, water or medicines - perhaps even to ensure the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield.
For the first time, the UKAP robot was presented at IDEF 2017, and it was equipped with the SARP remote controled weapon station from the Turkish company Aselsan, which provides such features as shooting in motion, day and night mode, and automatic tracking of the target. Variants of weapons that can be integrated to this weapon station include a 7.62 or 12.7-mm caliber machine gun, or an automatic 40 mm grenade launcher.
UKAP is currently offered exclusively to the Turkish armed forces, but the company sees the potential for this robot in the export market, especially given the fact that it can be applied with minimal modifications not only for military tasks. The total length of the vehicle is 2 m, a width of 1.8 m and a height of 1 meter. The curb weight is 1.1 tons.
