Foster-Miller, Inc., is a United States based military robotics manufacturer, a division of the United Kingdom's Qinetiq North America. Its two best-known products are TALON robots and LAST Armor. Foster-Miller develops and produces powerful, lightweight, versatile robots for ordnance removal, reconnaissance, communications, relays, sensing, security and rescue. Each robot is designed with all-weather, day/night and amphibious capabilities. They can operate under the most adverse conditions to overcome almost any terrain. These portable robots are easily carried, transportable as “checked baggage” on an airline, and fit in a standard car trunk. TALON™ robots have an arm and can be configured to perform more than 60 different kinds of missions. SOLEM robots are smaller and are used for reconnaissance. |
