The Arthron R 4075 robot has an unusual design, its modules are connected with universal hinges, which allows the 8x8 chassis to turn and bend and significantly increase mobility.

It has a mass of 9 kg. The multi-hinged design was developed over five years, it significantly improves the turns and bending in the vertical plane and as a result improves mobility and overcoming obstacles three times. In one of the medium "trailers" the main electric motor is installed, and in the other the basic standard 15 volts NiMG battery with a capacity of 6800 Ah, which guarantees two hours of operation. The two extreme modules have an auxiliary motor that provide relative motion between them and the adjacent module. Thus, the maneuverability of the multi-link structure is ensured, allowing it to achieve maximum off-road mobility.

Arthron R 4075 can overcome obstacles of 300 mm height and 270 mm wide trenches, and also slopes up to 100%. Standard wheels have a diameter of 140 mm, in addition, different types of tires can be installed.

Two day chambers, the upper one is directed upwards, and the bottom one, respectively, downwards, allow to obtain a combined vertical field of view of 160°. One night camera is directed horizontally, and two white LED lights give good lighting if necessary. The video transmission is provided by a channel at 2.4 GHz frequency, and control signals are transmitted over a 869 MHz channel, the transmission distance is 300 meters in open terrain and more than 100 meters in urban conditions.

Robot has a control option for the wire at a distance of up to 50 meters. Modes of operation include semi-automatic remote control, significantly reducing the load on the operator, and even automatic mode. Video stabilization software is available, as well as a dome with color or night cameras.
