Shatun combat Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) is a universal wheeled platform with a mass of 1000 kg, designed on the basis of the 8-wheeled chassis of the Argo all-terrain vehicle. The first prototype was demonstrated in 2013, and the modified version was presented in Russia on the "Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense" in 2015.
The robot has dimensions of 3.35x1.85x1.65m, a protected bottom, a low center of gravity, wheels with a special protector. If necessary, it can be placed on tracks.
The power pack is an internal combustion engine with a power of 30 hp. The maximum speed is 20 km/h, and due to the hermetic housing the platform can overcome water obstacles at a speed of up to 5 km/h. The road range is 150 km, the time of continuous operation is up to 20 hours.
Shatun UGV can move both on ground and on water, so that it can be used for sea landing operations. It is also capable of providing fire support to assaults and assault groups, exploring the coast, carrying out deliveries of cargo and ammunition for units engaged in combat on the seaside.
The armament is weapon station with 360° rotation with, camera for targeting, with a 7.62-mm PKT machine gun or up to three RPG-26 anti-tank grenade launchers or RGG-2 assault grenade launchers, or two containers with the Kornet ATGM. Thus, this UGV is capable of hitting personnel, as well as armored vehicles of the enemy. The range of remote control in line of sight is 5 km.
