Navistar Defense, Indigen Armor, and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) have teamed up to create the International Special Operations Tactical Vehicle (SOTV).
The Special Operations Tactical Vehicle represents a new United States military trend—in which technology born in the off-road racing industry gets applied to military vehicles. The result is a vehicle with less emphasis on the science of surviving a huge blast, and more on avoiding the explosion by means of stealth, speed, and surprise.
Designed for maximum off-road speed and mobility for a variety of terrain, the Special Operations Tactical Vehicle incorporates a full government- furnished Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) suite. The chassis, suspension, powertrain and armored occupant safety cell were engineered specifically to carry large payloads across rough landscapes in 3-man, 5-man and 7-man variants. The scalable armor packages meet multiple threat levels and accommodate a variety of low-profile or overt tactical body styles, allowing the vehicle's profile to be changed at the crew level.
Modular - Mobile - Transportable
Built to meet the unique mission requirements of Special Operations Forces, the International® Special Operations Tactical Vehicle can maneuver on narrow roads, jungle trails or tight urban terrain. The highly-modular, transportable, multipurpose vehicle maximizes performance and versatility. The Special Operation Tactical Vehicle is designed to leverage the Indigen Armor NSTT platform to meet a wide variety of Special Operation needs.
