Like its namesake, Northrop Grumman’s CaMEL operates in the most desolate corners of our planet. Today’s warfghters often fnd themselves deep in unforgiving terrain, miles from their support base, burdened with the extreme weight of equipment they need to live and fght. Rapid movement is a challenge -requiring time and resources they just don’t have.
CaMEL is a robotic transport platform providing users an unparalleled and vital equipment transport capability. CaMEL is a hybrid motorised robot that can carry a half a ton of cargo across nearly any terrain. Optional kits are available to ft your mission requirements making CaMEL your reliable customised beast of burden.
The robot can be used not only as armed unit, but also as the car for transportation of cargoes; name CaMEL testifies to it even, it is deciphered as Carry-all Mechanized Equipment Landrover. Such fifty cars it has already been put to Israel. And as arms it is possible to use almost any unit, including facilitated machine gun M249, grenade cup discharge MK19 or a 30-millimetric gun. Thus management of the weapon is carried out by the operator by means of the electronic device with the touch display.
