ÌÐÊ-27 BT is unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), designed to fire from the øòàôòåêí, as well as various objects, buildings and structures using small arms, grenade launchers and flamethrowers.

The use of MRK-27 BT in the course of combat operations provides solutions to combat missions in conditions where the participation of human forces without losses is limited or almost impossible.

The vehicle is controlled remotely from a portable remote control unit at a distance of 200 to 500 m.

Several modifications of MRK-27 have been developed: MRK-27VU, MRK-27Kh, MRK-27MA. The MRK-27VU is designed for explosion work: visual reconnaissance of potentially dangerous areas, search, evacuation or destruction of explosive devices. In addition, it is equipped with hydraulic breakers, a set of replaceable arms, a remote television camera, a truck with a towing device, an explosion proof container.

The MRK-27Kh is designed to carry out work under conditions of chemical contamination and can conduct visual exploration of hazardous areas and express air analysis, transport and place chemically hazardous objects in a special container, and take samples of liquids and soil. For this purpose, the robot is equipped with an ion mobility spectrometer, liquid and soil samplers.

MRK-27MA is designed to work in areas with increased radiation and provides visual exploration of the territory, transportation and installation of radioactive objects in a special container.

MRK-27 and its modifications passed government tests (including on the resistance to explosion) in Russia.
