In addition to the technologies, production capabilities, and global logistics support structure for the FMTV, the Armor Holdings acquisition also provided Land & Armaments with the expanded design, development and production capabilities of the Pinzgauer tactical wheeled vehicle.

The company recently unveiled details of its new Pinzgauer II system, which combines the all terrain wheeled vehicle mobility of the proven Pinzgauer design with increased mobility, payload capabilities up to 4 Tonnes, higher levels of armor protection, and enhanced vehicle performance with the latest Euro 4 6 cylinder 3.2L diesel engines.

The Pinzgauer II has been developed in two variants: the traditional "cab forward" design and a new "hood out front" design, called Mantis. Both vehicles take what designers refer to as the "core DNA" of the successful Pinzgauer line and transplant that into increased capability platforms.
