M106A1s mounting a 107mm mortar of the mortar Platoon, "F" Troop, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment fire on Hill 95 in III Corps Area in an assault on June 15, 1970. The four vehicles of the platoon are drawn up rear to rear to make ammunition supply easier, all being fed from a common dump. Of interest is the fact that all have ACAV.kits added, the side M60 mounts being fitted to the inside of the open top hatches which were obviously intended to be left open permanently. Because of the cramped interiors of the mortar carriers, the personal effects of the crew are stowed in the space between the open trim vane and hull front.
