The Ammunition Systems and Explosive Technology Group (ASET Gp) of Cranfield University is based at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham, England. It is the aim of the Group to progress the understanding of Explosive Method of Entry (EMOE) as a tool for Police and Military Operators. The early military concept of an Operator making a generic charge has been replaced with extensive knowledge of charge capabilities, placement, blast over pressure, noise and blast mitigation, target reconnaissance and an understanding of when to revert to standard MOE; that is the purpose of our training courses. We have trained members of the British Police Service in these techniques and now seek to expand our student base worldwide. All training can be conducted either in England or in the host country and the generic course encompassing MOE with EMOE can be tailored to fit local requirements. |
