RBR Armour Systems Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated company founded by the directors of its associated company, Combat Clothing Australia Pty Ltd; arguably Australia's largest manufacturer and supplier of personal combat equipment. Combat Clothing Australia Pty Ltd is a Defence Recognised Supplier with a proven track record in the Defence Industry. Over the past five years Combat Clothing Australia Pty Ltd has been awarded Australian Defence Force contracts exceeding $10 million, and other substantial International orders.

RBR Armour Systems Pty Ltd has established itself as the premier Australian manufacturer of an innovative range of ballistic products to service the Defence and Police markets here in Australia and overseas. RBR Armour Systems Pty Ltd is the current manufacturer of ballistic helmets to Combat Clothing Australia P/L for on sale to the Australian Defence Department.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Our innovation stems from the technical skills, knowledge and industry experience of our Research and Development team. Our team members each contribute a wealth of experience from the fields of ballistic design, ballistics testing and the manufacture ballistic products as well as having strategic alliances with other research and development institutions worldwide.

Where specialist expertise is required in areas such as aircraft or marine applications, high calibre industry specialists work closely with the RBR Armour Systems Pty Ltd team members to determine the most efficient and effective ballistic armour solution.

The majority of the ballistic products offered by RBR Armour Systems Pty Ltd are manufactured on site. Before these products are released for commercial use, extensive field trials are carried out on all products to ensure their ballistic protection capabilities.

It is the aim of this company to provide its Australian and International customers with the most cost effective and user friendly ballistic technology and armour solutions at the leading edge of product design and innovation.

BALLISTIC TESTING

Until recently, the Australian market for high-tech ballistic products have traditionally been serviced by overseas manufacturers. One of the main reasons for this is that the domestic market has been too small to justify the capital expenditure needed to develop and produce the ballistic products in commercial quantities.

Through ongoing research and product prototype testing RBR Armour Systems Pty Ltd has cultivated a close professional relationship with another Australian owned entity, Australian Ballistic Laboratory, (refer to Page 4 Australian Ballistic Laboratory)

It is with the collective knowledge of Management and its Research and Development teams the future for the design, development and manufacture of Australian ballistic products has taken a new and exciting turn in the right direction.
