JSC Barnaul Machine Tool Plant is one pf the leading producers of industrial goods and ammo ammunition in Russia. The history of the plant's operation goes far in the past and is dated by the middle of 19th century, when one of the first cartridge plants was established in Petersburg. After several moves the plant was settled down in Barnaul. Our enterprise celebrated its sixty anniversary on the Altai land on the 24th of November, as on this day exactly in 1941 the first echelon of ammunition was shipped to the battlefront. Currently JSC Barnaul Machine Tool Plant possesses the considerable scientific and technical potential for development and production of a wide range of rifle cartridges. Despite the fact that the last decade is characterized by the sharp reduction of state order, the plant managed to enlarge the nomenclature of military ammunition. In addition to the regular cartridges with ordinary bullets and blank cartridges there worked out and put into production new ammunition with increased specifications regarding penetration of individual means of protection, soft armored and armored technical facilities: 5,45 mm cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet, index 7H10; 5,45 mm cartridge with armor piercing bullet, index 7H22; 7,62 mm cartridge of 1943 sample with armor piercing bullet, index 7H23; 7,62 mm rifle cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet, index 7H13. One - of the major projects recently realized by JSC Barnaul Machine Tool Plant was manufacturing of NATO military cartridges. They are: 5,56 mm cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet, index RS 101; 5,56 mm cartridge with tracing bullet, index RS 103T; 7,62x51 rifle cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet, index RS 51; 7,62x51 rifle cartridge with tracing bullet, index RS 52. Results of enhanced penetration cartridges, produced by JSC Barnaul Machine Tool Plant, considerably prevail results of penetration of cartridges the specifications of the cartridges cal. 5,56 mm with bullet SS 109 and 7,62 mm with bullet R 50 made in the West. Besides development of general production, the enterprise fulfils a range of conversion modernization programs concerning manufacturing of sporting-hunting cartridges in order to reach their number up to dozens of types including European and American standard cartridges, such as 5,56x45 (.223 Rem); 7,62x51 (.308 Win); 7,62x63 (.30-06 Spring); 9,3x64; .243 Win. Our enterprise participates in demonstration shooting show at the International exhibition of military facilities, equipment and double use technologies (VTTV-OMSK-2003). There will be demonstrated penetration qualities of 5,45 mm cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet (index 7H10), 5,56 mm cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet (index RS 101) and 7,62 mm rifle cartridge with enhanced penetration bullet (index 7H13). Shooting will be held on 16 mm steel labs and on 10 mm armor slab at a distance of 100 meters. Joint work of enterprises of different spheres -producers of armor, ammo ammunition, powder, primers, and materials for these components was united in the system armor-ammunition. Ruling staff and labor collective of JSC BMTP passed the severe school of economics during the period of reconstruction and post reconstruction. Today our company is ready to execute various difficult orders of state customers to supply Russian Army with modern rifle cartridges. |
