SELEX GALILEO is part of Selex ES Inc, which is a wholly-owned US subsidiary of Leonardo. SELEX GALILEO is the new name under which Galileo Avionica SpA and SELEX Sensors & Airborne Systems Ltd will operate internationally with their outstanding reputation in the fields of sensors, electro-optics, electronic warfare and tactical UAVs. The name SELEX GALILEO will enable the companies to trade as world leaders in integrated solutions for airborne sensors, surveillance and protection systems, radar and imaging. Part of the Finmeccanica Group, the two companies have a combined workforce of 7,000 employees (about 4,000 in the UK) with a turnover of around 1,730 million euros. SELEX S&AS (US) Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK company and operates under a Special Security Agreement (SSA) granted by the US Defence Security Services for a company under foreign (non-US) ownership. This enables the company to have facility and personal security clearances and undertake US classified contracts. |
