General Dynamics Receives Delivery Order to Upgrade 100 Abrams Main Battle Tanks

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- The U.S. Army has signed a delivery order for General Dynamics Land Systems to upgrade 100 more M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks to the state-of-the-art M1A2 System Enhancement Package Version 3 (SEPv3) configuration.

Iveco-Oto Melara Consortium (CIO) Signs Contract With The Italian Ministry Of Defence For 10 Centauro II Armoured Vehicles

The Iveco-Oto Melara Consortium (CIO), which is 50% owned by Leonardo, signed a contract worth 159 million Euros with the Italian Ministry of Defence for the acquisition of the first 10 new Centauro II armored vehicles. The signing ceremony took place at Palazzo Guidoni, the headquarters of the Italian Secretariat General of Defence and of the National Armaments Directorate. It was attended by the Secretary General of Defence and National Armaments Director, Aerial Squadron Marshall Carlo Magrassi, the Italian Army Chief of Staff, General Salvatore Farina, and the Director of the Land Armaments, Lieutenant General Francesco Castrataro.

Roanne, February 12th, 2018 –Nexter and Texelis are delighted at today's confirmation by Florence Parly, Minister of Armies, for the attribution of the supply of Lightweight Multi-Role Armoured Vehicles (VBMR Véhicules Blindés Multi-Rôles) for the French Army. 104 German Leopard 2 MBTs to be modernized

Rheinmetall will soon be modernizing part of the Bundeswehr’s fleet of Leopard main battle tanks, implementing a comprehensive array of upgrade measures. The Düsseldorf-based technology group for mobility and security will be responsible for key parts of a combat performance upgrade programme that will bring 104 Leopard 2 tanks up to state-of-the-art design status. Coupled with additional services, the modernization package is worth a total of ˆ118 million. The first serially retrofitted Leopard 2 A7V tanks will reach the Bundeswehr starting in 2020.

Minneapolis -- The United States Marine Corps has ordered additional diesel MRZR® (MRZR D) Utility Task Vehicles (UTV) from Polaris Government and Defense to enhance Marine Corps operational capabilities. This follows the successful delivery and fielding of MRZR UTVs to Marine Corps infantry regiments earlier this year. Delivery of the more than 100 vehicles is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

The total value of the contract is approximately $2.2 billion.
