Armor Holdings, Inc. Awarded $19.7 Million for Up-Armored HMMWV Program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., -- Armor Holdings, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of security products and vehicle armor systems serving law-enforcement, military, homeland security and commercial markets, announced today that it has received contract modifications for new production totaling $19.7 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command and the Defense Logistics Agency to provide additional Up-Armored HMMWVs, Gunner Protection Kits, and armor component spare parts.
The Company stated that the new orders are for additional Up-Armored HMMWVs for delivery to the U.S. Army, Air Force, and the Iraqi military. Armor Holdings also indicated that the deliveries will be completed in 2005 and that the work will be performed by Armor Holdings' Aerospace & Defense Group at its Fairfield, Ohio, facilities.
