GD Awarded $23 M for Buffalo Vehicle Upgrades

The U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command awarded General Dynamics Land Systems a $22.7 million contract for updates and revisions to all logistic requirements and data in support of the Buffalo A2 M1272 vehicle. General Dynamics Land Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics. The Buffalo A2 is a heavily armored truck specifically designed to protect its occupants from mines and improvised explosive devices. The Buffalo is a recognized leader in the global mine-protected route-clearance vehicle class, with approximately 238 Buffalo A2 vehicles delivered to U.S. units throughout the world. Work will be performed by existing employees in Sterling Heights, Michigan, with an estimated completion date of March 2018. |
