140th Repair Plant, JSC for the first time presented a prototype of its new armored vehicle Zaschitnik (Defender) 6x6 MRAP at the MILEX-2019 exhibition in Minsk. The basic chassis for the vehicle - SUV MAZ-631708.

The vehicle has a total weight of 19800 kg, driven by a YaMZ-7511 diesel engine with a power of 400 hp (294 kW), coupled with a YaMZ-239 transmission. Zaschitnik can move on roads with a maximum speed of 90 km/h.

The capacity of the cabin, located in front of the engine - two people, the troop compartment, located at the rear, can accommodate 12 more infantrymen.

Vehicle protection corresponds to the fourth class in the side and rear projection, and the fifth class - in the frontal projection.
