The VTMM is a 18-ton class 4x4 medium protected vehicle (MPV) developed by Iveco Defence Vehicles and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) based upon the Grizzly 6x6 tactical vehicle from KMW. This new tactical vehicle has been designed to meet the requirements of the German and Italian armed forces as well as international customers. The hull design delivers outstanding protection against improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mines and direct fire to the crew. The VTMM is the result of a cooperation agreement signed between both companies in June 2008.
