The Cadillac GageTM (CGT) PeacekeeperTM II armored vehicle (PK II) provides superior ballistic protection and outstanding vehicle mobility at a competitive cost. With a top speed of 70 mph (112 kph), the PK II accommodates an eight-person team with gear, while providing crew protection from 7.62mm armor-piercing (AP) ammunition using CGT’s proven steel armor in 0.5-inch thickness. Eight direct-view vision blocks and large ballistic windshields offer superior visibility while also protecting against 7.62 AP. Eight pistol ports are co-located below each vision block.
Run-flat tires assure get-home capability for 30 miles. For flexibility during tactical deployment, full-length running boards with associated handrails are mounted along both sides and the rear of the vehicle.
A 340 hp gas or optional 300 hp diesel engine coupled with an automatic transmission provides ample power for on-road, as well as off-road four-wheel drive performance. Power steering and brakes are standard. Crew comfort and readiness are enhanced with air conditioning/heating and a fully insulated interior. As options, rotating pintle or cupola mounts are available for a variety of weapons including the Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), M240 and the MK 19 Mod 3 40mm grenade launcher machine gun.
The Cadillac Gage PK II employs the latest technology available in a highly versatile vehicle suitable for a variety of missions such as domestic law enforcement, riot control, counterterrorist activities, SWAT operations, convoy protection or base security.
Ballistic Protection
In developing the PeaceKeeper II armored vehicle, Textron Marine & Land Systems conducted detailed interviews with various law enforcement departments and agencies. These officials indicated that there is an increased need for ballistic protection, primarily due to the types of armor piercing ammunition that are more readily available on the street today.
The Cadillac Gage PK II provides advanced ballistic protection and outstanding vehicle mobility at a competitive cost. Of prime importance is the superior ballistic protection provided by the ½” thick steel armor. Most armored vehicles built for domestic law enforcement agencies use armor that is only ¼” thick. In recent ballistic studies comparing ½” armor to ¼” armor, 22 different types of ammunition were tested, ranging from the smallest caliber of commercially available ball ammunition to military-style 7.62 AP. The ¼” armor proved to be highly vulnerable, allowing full penetration of the ammunition in more than 40 percent of the tests conducted. Other common armor thicknesses, such as 3/8”, were not analyzed during this testing but remain more vulnerable than the ½” armor employed on the PK II. In all those tests, the ½” armor of the PK II stopped every projectile.

Features
Ballistic Glass
Large windows and eight direct-view vision blocks enhance visibility, but still provide multi-hit protection from up to to 7.62 AP.
Cupola (optional)
For enhanced tactical maneuvers, a pintle mount or cupola is mounted atop the vehicle. Rotatable 180 degrees, this feature allows for the use of a variety of weaponry, including the Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), the M240 and the MK19 Mod 3 40-mm grenade launcher and machine gun.
Pistol Ports
Located in the interior of the vehicle are six pistol ports that allow for offensive capability while keeping the crew protected. These ports accommodate various weaponry and are oversized to allow dispersion of canister-sized crowd control devices such as flash bangs and smoke grenades.
Run Flat Tires
The Michelin XTE-2-235/75R17.5 model tires incorporate run-flat inserts that allow for operation for up to 30 miles, in the event of a puncture.
Running Boards (optional)
Foldable running boards, with associated handrails, are located along either side of the vehicle, as well as in the back. These features allow for a mobile tactical advantage and offer protection for the crew during forward positioning.
