ST Kinetics first unveiled its Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Jaeger 6 at the Singapore AirShow 2018. The UGV has a 6x6 wheel transmission and can be configured for a wide range of missions, for example, as a fire support, logistics, surveillance and reconnaissance vehicle.
Singapore-based defense company ST Kinetics has experience more than a 10 years of UGV engineering, including portable robots for surveillance, CBRNE, and robotic wheeled and tracked vehicles.
Jaeger 6 - the latest development of ST Kinetics in the field of UGV. Based on the proven commercial off road chassis, Jaeger 6 can be equipped with a large number of specialized systems for specific tasks. Jaeger is also equipped with proprietary control algorithms that allow it to operate autonomously with a high degree of security, making it an appropriate alternative for solving complex tasks such as perimeter security and logistics.
The Jaeger 6 can be controlled by just one person using a control unit connected via Wi-Fi, but the system can also be connected to an encrypted 4G mobile network.
The Jaeger 6 is similar to the US SMSS (Squad Mission Support System), developed by the American company Lockheed Martin. Jaeger is also available in an 8 × 8 configuration, but only the 6x6 version is currently ready for serial production.
On the roof of Jaeger 6 can be mounted a number of specialized systems, including weapons, robotic systems or various sensors. The length of the Jaeger is 2.5 m, width 1.5 m and height 0.85 m. The gross weight in the standard configuration of 6×6 is approximately 750 kg with a maximum carrying capacity of 250 kg. It can be used in standard mode for 24 hours and 4 hours in noiseless mode.
The Jaeger 6 is equipped with an electric drive, which is powered by an on-board diesel generator, charging the batteries, which provide a life expectancy of up to 48 hours. It has a maximum speed of 16 km/h.
