Parsippany, N.J. -- DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: DRS) announced today that it received a $13 million order from the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey to manufacture Tactical Quiet Generators (TQG). CECOM placed the order on behalf of various Army, Navy and Air Force units via the Army's Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications Tactical, and its subordinate office of Project Manager for Mobile Electric Power at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The award is part of a current Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with CECOM, and part of a long-term production program for the Army, which initially began as a development program in 1997. |
