TenCate Ceratego™ armour is a solution that matches customers’ demands for maximum protection and good value for money, based on the overall cost of ownership – the total cost of owning and maintaining every single platform. It ensures a low rate of wear on the vehicle, low transport weight, low fuel costs and reasonable total operating costs even under the most extreme conditions.

TenCate Ceratego™ provides an ideal level of protection for vehicles, ships and aircraft as well as for equipment attached to such platforms, including remote weapon stations and periscopes. TenCate Ceratego™ also provides a high level of protection for personnel inside these platforms.

It has high resistance to the shock and vibration spectrum generated in tracked vehicles and ships, and from blasts created by large-calibre weapons.

TenCate Ceratego™ is available in two different types, to meet specific needs:

• TenCate Ceratego™ CX

• TenCate Ceratego™ AL

TenCate Ceratego™ meets international standards and requirements that include European Standard EN1522, FB6 and FB7. TenCate Ceratego™ is specially designed to provide level I to level IV protection in accordance with NATO STANAG 4569, including specific customer demands within the same protection range.

TenCate Ceratego™ provides protective solutions made with a hard strike face consisting of a range of different types of ceramics or metals, with a fibre material backing. TenCate Advanced Armour has extensive experience in combining ceramics and metals with carefully selected fibre materials in order to provide durable ballistic protection solutions.

The fibre materials used in these products are normally aramids, high-performance polyethylene, fibreglass and carbon fibre, or combinations of these materials.
